Family

Therapy

Families come in many different configurations and are not always biological.  My experience in working with adult families has been in helping to replace unhelpful ways of relating to another with new ways of being together.  Many people often think that families are fixed and unable to change, they just are.  However, that is not true.  Change can occur and meaningful interactions are possible.

What to expect

We will gain an understanding from each family member what is working well and what isn’t.  We will learn the history of the family including roles people have and the values that the family holds. We will name what changes the family wants to make and the steps to get there.  If members will become aware of any competing expectations and learn what to do with them.

Areas of focus include:

Co parenting

Divorce

Communication issues

Managing screen time
