People in romantic relationships, that are monogamous or non-monogamous, often feel stuck in having the same argument over and over. Couples therapy is a way for people to learn to communicate in a new way so that conversations can feel more meaningful. It can also be an opportunity to repair past wounds caused from one another.
What to expect
We will learn about the history of the relationship and understand what works well and what doesn’t. We will also understand how family history could be playing out in current dynamics. Looking at outside forces and life stages will also help to add context to the situation. Together, we will track the cycle of communication for understanding and begin to strategize on where to interrupt stuck patterns.
